I am appalled at the news of the untimely death of Remonstrant leader and IARF activist, Rev. Peronne Boddaert. She has died of pneumonia at age 37 last March 5.
I met Peronne when she came to Barcelona as the IARF representative to give her encouragement to the then budding group of Universalists. She was always extremely nice and sympathetic to our needs and limitations, and spoke to different groups and shared meals with us. Then she went to the US to serve at All Souls UU Church in New York for several years before going back to the Netherlands. We never lost e-mail contact and she remained always a good friend. She will be very, very missed.
